Why crackers belong to Deepavali
For most Kerala families the big crackers day is Vishu, in April. Deepavali is the gentler one: a few bright things for the children after the lamps are lit, and a garland for the households that mark the morning.
What to buy

8 November 2026. The last Deepavali order we can promise for Kerala is 1 November, because the road transport lines are slowest in the final week.
What are the Deepavali bursting hours in Kochi?
Kerala follows the two-hour window, normally notified as 8:00 to 10:00 PM on Deepavali, with certified green crackers only. The order is reissued every year, so confirm it, and check your apartment association's own rule too.
Is Deepavali a big crackers festival in Kerala?
Not as big as Vishu. Plenty of families light crackers at Deepavali, but the loudest, longest evening of the year in Kerala is Vishu eve in April.
Can I order less than the minimum for a small Deepavali?
No, the minimum is 5,000 rupees on every order. Unopened boxes keep well if stored dry, so many families carry part of the order over to Vishu.
